We converted a garage into this compact 600 SF ADU. It’s relation to the house creates a little courtyard that stacking pocket doors open up into, expanding the living area into the almost always Sunny Californian outdoors. The laundry, wardrobe and kitchen are all crisply hidden in built in cabinetry. The clean modern interior makes this little abode airy and light, and gives a nice background for sculptural furniture to pop. It’s like living on a cloud.
